Mel is a strong and passionate leader who believes that culture really matters to both clients and the teams he leads and works with. Mel has a rare and broad experience of asset management sales and client service, having performed a variety of roles, across multiple regions, client type and channels. Mel gained this experience within Martin Currie, Baillie Gifford and started his career with Franklin Templeton. As part of the Executive team and a Director of Martin Currie Investment Management and Martin Currie Inc, he manages our global distribution partnerships with Franklin Templeton and works directly with many of our global institutional clients. Mel makes sure our clients are supported with access to our expertise, insights, and resources, and leads our global team of specialist client portfolio managers.
He is a holder of the General Securities Principal (Series 24), General Securities Representative (Series 7) and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law (Series 63) qualifications, as well as the UK Investment Management Certificate (UK SIP).
